The Office is full of memorable characters, from beet-slinging nerd Dwight Schrute, "Assistant (to the) Regional Manager", to sardonic couple Jim and Pam who's blooming love affair dominated the first three seasons.
However, above all the characters working at Dunder-Mifflin, manager Michael Scott is one of the most memorable. His terrible jokes and even worse comedic timing made him a lovable but incredibly cringe-inducing boss. Michael's sense of personal boundaries (of course the desparation for love and admiration from his staff made him a bit clingy) were lacking at best, but goddamn he loved selling paper more than life itself.
At the end of the day, Michael Scott's laughable ignorance paired with his genuine care for those around him may have made Scott well-rounded and lovably annoying, but mostly provided us with countless facepalms and one-liners we're still quoting to this day.
