There is nothing in this world quite so pure and loving as a dog. Dogs ask for nothing but love and attention (and food and water and walks and belly rubs), because they are simple and wonderful animals that we simply don't deserve. They bring light and joy to the lives of all - no matter how down or depressed you may feel, there's no situation so dire that a dog can't brighten your spirits just a tiny bit.
