The 'House of Cards' Subreddit Is Now About Literal Houses of Cards

undefined

It's been a rough week or so for House of Cards fans (I would argue it's been a rough couple of YEARS or so, since the show nosedived after season 2, but that's just me) - after actor Anthony Rapp told the world of his traumatizing experience with Spacey, detailing Spacey's sexual aggressiveness towards him as a minor, many more reports of Spacey's, uh, "alleged inappropriateness" (I'm trying to protect myself legally here) have come out. At first, Netflix responded by announcing that the upcoming season of House of Cards (season 6, still in production) would be its last - then later reversed course and halted production entirely, indicating the show would effectively be cancelled and the recent 5th season would be its last.

While there may still be a path forward (such as killing off Spacey's character, Frank Underwood) for the show, the House of Cards subreddit has been exhausted by the scandal and precarious situation of the show's future - so have decided to just become a subreddit about ACTUAL houses of cards (as in, playing cards used to form structures) instead of the Kevin Spacey/Robin Wright prestige drama about politics and power in Washington DC.

Honestly, this seems like a pretty huge improvement.

If you wanna share YOUR photos of actual houses of cards (and NOT discuss any Kevin Spacey-related television shows about ruthless ambition), head over to r/HouseofCards.

And - just because - here's a Guinness World Record video about one of the legends of "cardstacking", Bryan Berg:
