Imagine this, dear friends:
You're out in the woods hiking and dusk is rapidly approaching. You realize with panic, the sun setting beneath twisting branches, that you are lost and have no flashlight and no cellular service.
You are alone in blackened woods, and the darkness is closing in like a thick fog. A twig snaps.
You hear something rustling behind you and you squint into the night but can't make out any recognizable shapes, just the odd, serpentine trees baracading you into the palm of a witch's hand.
Hyperventilating yet? Then you've just experienced your first bout of Nyctohylophobia!
Nyctohylophobia is defined as the "fear of dark wooded areas or forests at night" and if you can't already imagine how terrifying that can be, don't you fret little one, we have some visual aids just for you!
So get cozy and beware the woods at night.
