As of the past month or so, the trusty meme economy has seen a booming surplus in Robbie Rotten, the big-chinned, net-wielding antagonist from the muscial children's show Lazy Town. Much like the Bee Movie edits, these memes live primarily on YouTube.
But why Robbie Rotten? Well, you can chalk it up partially to the Internet just being the Internet, but it also happens to be a movement of support, as the actor who portrays Robbie, Stefan Karl, was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer and is in need of some support following a major surgery. So, YouTubers like MrMrMANGOHEAD have been using their insane Robbie Rotten videos to draw more attention to Stefan Karl's GoFundMe page. Way to use memes for good! Good on ya, Internet!
