Hero-Glyphics is a Ridiculously Awesome Mashup of Pop Culture and Ancient Egypt

You know what kids love today? Ancient Egypt! Okay, probably not most kids, but comic books, video games, and movies are pretty much loved by everyone. It also turns out that they mashup perfectly with Egyptian hieroglyphics. That's the idea behind Kansas City-based artist, Josh Lane's, "Hero-Glyphics" series. The prints don't so much tell the story of a pharaoh or slaves working on the pyramids, but instead use images to tell the sagas of the Power Rangers, Ghostbusters, Ninja Turtles, and so forth.

The prints are also for sale and would probably make a pretty cool addition to that ancient tomb that you call a bedroom.
